April to August 2023 F.Y. Environmental Activity Report for Fukushima Office
2023-08-31

The first road cleaning activity of this fiscal year was held.
Last April, we collected 10.4 kg of trash, and this year we collected 3.7 kg. The amount of trash collected this year was less than last year, and we feel that the amount of littering is decreasing year by year. We would like to continue our activities and contribute to the beautification of the community.

This was the second road cleaning activity for this fiscal year.
Last May, we collected 4.3 kg of trash, and this year we collected 3.5 kg.
With the new type of coronavirus being classified as a category 5 infectious disease starting this month, we expect an increase in the number of people going out, and we would like to continue our street cleaning activities with the aim of making the streets a place where passersby do not feel compelled to throw away their garbage.

This was the third street cleanup this fiscal year.
Last June, we collected 4.2 kg of trash as an actual result, and 4.9 kg this year. As the heat is deepening, which reminds us of summer. It is reported that the number of people suffering from heat stroke increases sharply during the beginning of the hot season, so we will remember to take care of our physical condition on a daily basis as we go about our work.

This was the fourth street cleanup this fiscal year.
In July last year, we collected 4.8 kg of trash as an actual result, and 4.8 kg this year.
The flowers planted in June for the "Full of Flowers" campaign are gradually beginning to bloom. We hope they will be a source of relaxation for passersby this year as well.

This was the fifth street cleanup this fiscal year.
Last August, we collected 4.3 kg of trash as an actual result, and 5.1 kg this year. The days are still hot even after the Obon holiday. Moreover, this year there seems to be an increase in the number of guerrilla downpours, most likely due to typhoons. We will make every effort not to fall ill due to the sudden change in temperature.
