Approach of SDGs

The KEIYOKOGYO Group aims to contribute to the achievement of SDGs through the company activity.

With SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals)

 The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are international goals for a sustainable and better world by 2030, as stated in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which was unanimously adopted by Member States at the UN Summit in September 2015. The SDGs are universal goals that not only developing countries but also developed countries themselves are working towards, and Japan is also actively involved.
 The KEIYOKOGYO Group endorses the SDGs advocated by the United Nations and will continue to develop its business with the aim of creating a sustainable society.

Concrete approach to SDGs of the KEIYOKOGYO Group

Initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions
  • Decarbonisation of the vehicle fleet through modal shift and conversion to EVs
  • Generating biogas from waste treatment processes for energy use in boilers, generators and dryers

Registered as a [Chiba SDGs Partner]

On registration in the "Chiba SDGs Partner Registry Scheme".

The Chiba Hokuso Plant was certified as registration No. 1797 on 16 May 2023.
The registration system in Chiba Prefecture requires companies and organisations that are working on or willing to work on activities to achieve the SDGs to promote specific initiatives in the three aspects of the environment, society and economy, and to set specific targets.The Chiba Hokuso Plant was registered for registration number No. 1797 on May 16, 2023.
It wrestles with "Chiba SDGs partner" for an activity for the achievement of SDGs or it promotes a concrete approach in 3 sides of environment, society, the economy in a company, a group with the will to work on, and it is a registration condition and a registration system of Chiba that it did that a concrete aim is set.

Management policies and other measures to achieve the SDGs

Under the slogan of 'Coexistence with a comfortable environment and nature', the company is aware of its responsibility as a leader in resource recycling and proper disposal, and is quick to identify the demands of the times while striving to reduce global environmental impact and contribute to a recycling-oriented society, aiming to become a company trusted and needed by local communities and customers, In 2024, the company will celebrate its 60th anniversary.
 With the aim of becoming a company that lasts 100 years, we will evolve into an innovative company where a diverse range of people can play an active role and where we can transform ourselves in response to changes in the social environment.

Participation in the GX league

In support of the GX League Basic Concept published by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on 1 February 2022, the Company joined the GX League on 6 February 2024 with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality in Japan by 2050. In the future, the GX League will contribute to the realisation of a carbon-neutral society by promoting initiatives to reduce CO₂ emissions.
